Impulse Buy Avoided.... for now

So a friend shows up at dance and says she is ordering a shirt and if I'd like to order one we could split the shipping. She showed me the shirt and I was IN! YES! I'd love one!

oh, wait... hmmm... its a bit more pricey than I would normally spend on a shirt for a 3 year old and I don't REALLY need it, although it is super hard to find good African American character t-shirt and Addy loves the video that Sesame Street did on I love my hair. And so, she agreed to wait until April to place her order.

So is that real compacty to just delay the purchase? Maybe not. But instead of being an impulse buy, I will have thought about it and then will decide if I still NEED it. I'm starting a list of things I would have bought and think I will still want at the end of my journey. At the end, I will reassess and see what I still want to buy and which ones were impulses avoided. Now, if this was something I could find at a garage sale, craigslist, etc. I would totally go that route to find it but since it is pretty specific, its unlikely that I'd find it there. However, if someone has one they don't need anymore and want to sell it, let me know!!!
