Twinsies!
We put Mr TyTy in our one of three gender neutral outfits. Look how cute our twinsies are! Both pics taken around 8 weeks and although Tylers cheeks in this picture are a little squished and look bigger, Addy actually was chubbier!
I've gotten a few random comments about how much Addy and Tyler look like eachother (from people who know they are not biological siblings). I guess they look a little alike if you look at the picture above and below this. We do have a few pics of Addy that look quite similar to him at this age but at their current ages I do not think they look anything alike! And then comes the comment, "They look so much alike, noone will even know they aren't real siblings".... Some times said just as a comment, sometimes said more like it was a good thing they at least look like eachother... To which I reply, "they are real siblings, they are both ours." And it is as simple as that. They are both ours, they are real siblings. I know for some people it is hard to understand that it is OK for your children to not look like you and to not look like eachother and that we are happy with that. We set out to create our family through adoption without hesistation or worry that they wouldn't look like us. They will always know that they are beautiful no matter what they look like. Which is another reason it is nice to have a big group of amazing friends with families who look just like ours!

This weekend we went to the "minizoo" with our adoption friends and finally got a picture of Nell and Tyler, the two newest members of our group... NOTE, Nell is about 3-4 weeks OLDER than Tyler!
Delany is Tylers future GIRL friend. I told her she couldn't make out with him again until she was 20 and then couldn't do it in front of their parents! It was love at first sight!

Super Cute!
We had another playdate with our friends from our adoption agency that we used to bring Addy home. It was a small group this time but was fun none the less. Of course it is all boys except Addy! From Left to Right: Tyler, Addy, Aaron, & Ben!
Seriously, could these two get any cuter! They both wanted to climb into Addys crib, so there they played and laughed!

Bonus Video!
What, 2 videos in one day!!! This one is adorable. Addy is doing VERY well with her ABC's. Forgot a few letters in this video but usually does them all and typically says the end a little clearer too but it was late at night when we filmed it!
Fun Times!
We went to a parade tonight in the rain and cold and had a GREAT time! Little Emmerson and Nora met us there and all four kids were very good and had a good time!
Well, our much anticipated double stroller came and it is GREAT! This isn't exactly what I had in mind for the passengers but I guess Lucy is enjoying it too! I left the snack tray off the front so that Addy can get in and out easier (will keep the tray below in case snacks are needed!). Addy has enjoyed playing in it and climbing on it saying where she will sit and where the baby will sit.
This shows how long it really is! The back is a little shorter in the middle but most is around this legnth 6-7 inches when pulled straight.
Just after washing...The curls are much shorter, the parts from the previous style remain until I redo another style or she sleeps on it.
Here is it naturally free with some product in it to help keep it more moisturized. You can see the curls are much tighter and very dense, this kid has a ton of hair! Its super gorgeous this way but dries out very fast and tangles instantly so is rarely left free at this stage. Once she is out of the carseat and not napping it will stay nicer longer. Plus with it getting so dry we want to prevent breakage and most styles are more moisturizing and conducive to helping keep the hair healthy.
OTHER FUN THINGS...
HAIR UPDATE! I've recently recieved a few questions about how long Addy's hair is and why we always have it styled... Well here is my little Einstein!
This is just after unbraiding her rows so the curls are pulled straighter than they would be if left naturally free...
Addy playing with Tyler during tummy and back time on the floor. She is SO cute, wants to help and do whatever he is doing.
Here is our first time using sidewalk chalk! Addy would tell me what to draw and then she would color it in (or at least attempt to and would help). She is very into "cute stars" right now so we did a lot of those and a lot of different animals!
She has also figured out that she can hide! She piled up the cushions from the couch that were on the floor and hid under them playing peek with me... Too funny!

Real Pictures!
Our first attempt at some decent pictures... Well we got a few good ones, both kiddo's were a little grumpy and didn't want to cooperate! These are a few of the pics, I'm going to photo shop a few to be black and white, black and white with bits of color, and cropping, but that probably wont be getting done for a while!

Falling behind!
Well I have fallen behind on the updates and pictures. I am still working on some videos but they are a bit of work to get uploaded so it may be a while.
Self portrait!
New things for Tyler:
- Holding his head up more when doing tummy time
- Staying awake for longer periods of time during the day
- Sleeping slightly better at night
- Eating LOTS
New things for Addy:
- Talking, singing, telling you what she wants, talking, singing, did I say talking and singing? She is a great singer! Sings all of her little songs and knows most of the words!
- Loves reading and knows many parts of her favorite books by heart and will say it when you read it
- Is counting to ten (well we don't use 6 yet but the rest of the numbers are doing very well)
- Dancing, summersaults, jumping, climbing... more coordinated than ever
- Becoming increasingly clever, definetly have a problem solver on our hands (too smart for her own good sometimes)
- Making sense of the world and remembering EVERYTHING!
- Learned a new non-appropriate phrase... lovely, we are working on switching it to Holy Buckets
- Amazingly smart and catching on to things very quickly
- Gets very excited when she sees her friends, especially if she knows they are coming over.
New things for our household:
- Current plan is to put our house on the market in the spring and find a home with 3 bedrooms on one floor!
- Dishwasher died so we bought a new one
- Found a puddle on the kitchen floor, searched for the source, found a leaky pipe under the kitchen sink, attempted to clean it up and my thumb when right through the metal pipe which apparently was disinigrating from the inside out. Big mess, got a plumber and a new pipe!
- Cleaning and organizing so we can make a bedroom for Tyler
- Cannot believe that the summer is almost over and I go back to work in a little over a month!
