Ice Cream Happiness

The end of an era....

Look closely... those are little fingers poking under the door... HE's LOOSE! JT mastered climbing out of the pack n play on our trip and it took him about 2 seconds to realize he could get out of the crib by himself as well. We aren't quite sure how he is getting out since he is so tiny and does it so quietly! But none the less he's out...So to keep him safe from the four foot drop over the edge of the crib, we converted it to a big boy bed tonight! Mama wasn't quite ready for this but with surgery coming up, we need to get him sleeping well again and fast! Which in the long run should be good since he can get in and out by himself so I wont have to lift him!

And he was so tired tonight, that I put him to bed in his big boy bed and he is nicely asleep in it right now and didn't even get out once! My baby is growing up!

Fun Trip!

We had a fun trip this past weekend just the four of us even with the rain!For some reason there was a monkey statue outside the hotel... Addy loved it... I thought it was a big strange!
Getting a picture of these two together is near impossible. JT is also on an anti picture campaign and throws a fit and yells "no picture" when I get the camera!
We went to a super cute little garden park and spent quite a bit of time there.

The kids were excited to see this big crane! Note: two seconds after taking this picture it darted its head into the water and grabbed a fish, ate it whole, still flopping around... Addy thought it was super cool... oh the circle of life... good thing she didn't realize the fishes circle of life had ended! Later we saw a family of ducks with 12 baby ducklings! They swam right up to where we were sitting!

Went to the zoo and kiddie amusement park! AJ LOVES RIDES!... loves them!

And of course had to sit on the bronze turtle which I am pretty sure is at every zoo!

We were lucky enough to meet up with our dear friend Delaney! The girls got to throw a penny into the fountain and make a wish!
And got slurpies in their fancy cups! It was SO nice to see them again!
We also got the chance to visit some family! We went to my parents for dinner one evening and then Meena and Papa were gracious enough to watch the kiddo's while Jared and I went to a movie! Then on the way home we stopped at Jareds dads house to spend some time with all of the cousins on memorial day.

A few more random pics from the hotel... We went swimming every evening. JT didn't venture out too far but enjoyed himself sitting on the stairs and splashing away!
They also decided to play hide and seek except that they both hid under the chair!
It was great to be able to spend some time together away as a family! The first night was a little rough as JT figured out how to get out of his pack n play... the second night was better, and the third night he fell asleep in the car so we carried him in! Both kids did extremely well for being out of their routine and without good naps! I tried to keep the pictures to a minimum in this post seeing as I took hundreds :) I'll have to go through them and look at them all!

Surgery

Warmer Weather!

This week we finally had a little bit of clear skies to spend some time outside!

tonight we ventured to the park down the street. JT still rarely opens his eyes for pics...
But look, they opened!
We went to Adia and Thads house to play this week. They live on a hobby farm with random animals. Ji'Robert found the trucks and diggers right away!
Addy took a walk with a donkey...
And she got to hold a new baby kitty!
We are hopeful that this weekend will turn out to be nice as we have a fun filled weekend planned!

Recital time!

Despite the fact that Miss AJ's recital was at 7pm on a Sunday night and they were the 18th group to dance, they did GREAT! And were super seriously cute! Who could resist this face!

Tulips!

The tulips were in full bloom today and I have always wanted to go take pictures by them. Typically they only look nice for a day or two and then are way wind blown to pieces... So tonight I thought I would take AJ for a bit and take some pics and try to figure out my newish camera... still haven't had time to play around with it enough! Well we got there and the tulips were all chewed up already from the wind! They were actually pretty pathetic so I let Addy just run around the garden area and have fun!

She was super excited to find this..... YUCK! I am not a fan of feathers but she was thrilled so she was allowed to carry it around for a bit!
She did enjoy the steps!
And since it was sunny, we wandered over to the fountain which started out as just a finger in to "feel the water" and then an arm, a leg, and soaked! Everyone thought she was super cute and I'm sure they thought I was crazy for letting her play in the cold water but she was having a blast and was so stinkin cute, how could I resist!

So what was set off to be a photo op by the tulips turned into a fun mommy and me trip! Sometimes a change of plans makes for the best memories!

M.I.A.

I can always tell when I haven't blogged in a while as people start sending me emails and facebook messages asking if I am ever going to update! I've been a bit MIA lately as I was sick for a whole week... what a waste of time that was! So then spent the last week catching up at work, getting things ready for various things, etc. So here is our last few weeks...

Ty is still a ham for the camera.... CHEEEEESE... but refuses to open his eyes!

This is probably the best picture I have of BOTH kids together in a super long time. They don't tend to cooperate at the moment so after they were playing in the kitchen they were both lined up by our EAT T so I grabbed my camera and took a quick pic!
I did a TON of laundry....
OK, scroll back up and look at that picture again... A little girl climbed under my pile of freshly washed laundry and instantly fell asleep!

Ji'Robert loves this little hat that we had for him when he was little (he hated it then) and has been wearing it all over lately! It's a bit small but super cute! I'll have to find him a new one that is bigger!The kids had received mini-kites from the Easter bunny so we finally cracked those open when it was a windy day.... Even JT was able to get his up in the air!
Addy's soared wonderfully and she was thrilled!
We had Addy's dance recital rehearsal....

Addy was NOT in the mood for pictures but did agree to sit next to Keely for half a second!

So tonight we did her recital hair for tomorrow! Its supposed to be in a bun so we did a bunch of cornrows back to a pony and then did a flower pattern for the bun part! It turned out super cute and was pretty quick! Oddly enough she fell asleep after about half the braids so I did the rest while she napped on my lap! It reminded me of when she was just a little baby and I did her hair while she slept!
Nothing else too exciting has been going on! We did a garage sale this weekend at a friends house and sold a ton of boy clothes and baby stuff! We've had a few random playdates, gone to some parks, and spent some time outside.
