Dance Dance Dance
JT has been doing dance this summer with Jared in the mommy and me class! Tonight AJ and I decided to tag along to watch! Funny, everyone else had the same idea! The class was three 2 year old boys and they all brought their older sisters with! Ty didn't really seem into doing the songs or actions but loved the parachute and balance beam!
Tunnel Time!
Yesterday Ty was especially cute! He had found a baby doll to read a book to. He tucked her in on a pillow with a blanket, danced with her, and then threw her across the room. He also REALLY wanted his picture taken which is odd for him at the moment so we took a bunch of close ups!
Reading to baby!
I received this picture from daycare.... he really is asleep!
JT is being such a big boy all of the sudden. I guess the twos have brought new adventures and bravery for this little boy! He is climbing ladders and crossing balance beams high in the air with ease! (mommy is nervously hovering below!)
He's climbing up on things all by himself, "I do it".
Ji'Robert and Addy have fun being silly together. This isn't exactly how you are supposed to sit in your chair!
I just love these kids!

Family Fun
Addy is still working on learning to identify her letters but can write quite a few. If I tell her what letters to write and she's seen me do it, then she can do it too! Here are her first two real words (besides her name)!
Precious!
Oddly enough our tomatoes are growing quite a bit despite having the garden totally neglected! Addy loves going and picking the tomatoes! YUM!
Have you ever noticed that I have tons of pics of the kids and hardly any of all of us or of Jared and I with the kids? Well I am still working on doing better in this aspect!

This past Friday we went to the park and had a picnic! The kids had a blast grabbing a bite between sliding and running around!
Addy even did the curvy balance beam and made it the whole way by herself!
Seeing as I had almost 5 weeks of barely moving off the couch.... I found that the wooden kitchen that I have been eyeing for 2 years went on sale for half off and free shipping! My initial intention was to take an old entertainment system and turn it into a super cute kitchen but now with this long surgical process and another surgery in the next year, that just didn't seem feasible. So I splurged and bought the on sale kitchen! Both kids played with the other one quite a bit so I knew it would be a good investment! It even fit perfectly in the giant castle in our living room!
We went to a water party at another adoptive families house and the girls had a good time on the tire swing. They were singing very loudly!
Today we were going to find something fun to do but opted to swing by the farmers market and decided it was too hot! So we went to the coffee shop in the nice air conditioning. Addy LovES coffee (or at least what she thinks is real coffee). So we shared a DECAF campfire mocha cooler! YUM!
And I thought JT should have a special mommy and Ty trip too. So this evening after dinner, Ji'Robert and I headed to DQ for a yummy treat! He was adorable with his ice cream... and his remaining mess!

Oh, and we re-cut his hair shorter! We cut it last week but not short enough so we redid it tonight!

JT
I have been tending to post tons of pics of Miss Addy and not many of JT. The main reason is that my little man is not very into having his picture taken. He'll even yell, "no camera" and run the other direction, so here's a few from the past couple weeks....
My baby....
He's TWO.... Where did the last two years go!
Baby Ji'Robert Tyler at 2 days old....
And now 2!He's doing great at his new daycare and having the kids separate for the summer has helped him grow immensely.
He had a boy's day on his birthday... Daddy, Grandpa Steve-O, Uncle Spencey, and Uncle Garret took him to Chuck E Cheese for his birthday since AJ and I were out of town! Sounds like they had a good time!
Our relationship with his birth family continues to go well and grow. He is able now to say a few words to his birth mom on the phone which is amazing and super cute. We hope to be able to visit them again next year sometime.
He's just perfect... minus the gigantic bug bites on his forehead at the moment! We've been working on taking some fun pics, but the weather and having a helper haven't worked out yet so hoping to get pics in the next week or two. The next post will have some random shots from last night in the back yard!

Together at last!
CURLS!
One problem with having surgery is keeping up our curls! The first hairdo that I did before surgery lasted about 3 weeks, then Shawna did her hair once and it lasted a week, and then I attempted again alone. It didn't go wonderfully but we got a few days out of it. So this time I gave up cornrows and did little twists. We did most of it last night and finished the front today. It was much easier than the cornrows since the twists basically just use my fingers and wrists where as the cornrows use your whole body and you need to move around a bit more than just sitting to do twists....
So here is the final product.... Hoping to get a least two weeks out of them!
