Oh Happy Day!

Fun relaxing day today after a busy few days!

Our sunflowers (which were supposed to be squash) are blooming like crazy and Addy has been wanting to pick some so we cut a few to play with!
JT seems to think that all of the stuffed animals need to be in time out for being "nauny"!Tonight we thought we would do something a little different for craft time... edible crafts! When I was the arts and crafts director at a camp for deaf/hard of hearing and physically disabled, we did edible crafts quite often! We used pretzel dough to make fun shapes and then the best part was to get to eat your creation!

AJ and I headed to the fair with Lindsy and had a blast (minus the sky glider rider which almost gave me a panic attack due to my fear of heights).
She loves riding on the swings so we let her do two rides.... the swings and...
The BIG slide! I have to admit, it was super fast and really fun!
They had a "Great Sing Along) which was pretty cool. A giant area with probably 30 microphones that people could do karaoke to with a giant movie screen with the lyrics!
And then it was naptime!
Last weekend we went to an antique/junk sale and I got the rest of my license plate letters to make a sign for JT's room!
We even trekked out to the grocery store today and lucky for us they had just lined up all of their truck carts, which if you aren't aware, is the key to a very happy shopping trip with very smiley happy kids!

A few weeks ago, we went shopping with a couple friends and two of the girls got this cute little pink scarf. Addy LOVES accessories and after finding out that I took JT to take pictures, she was sad that she didn't get pictures too and wanted to go... So off we went to a little park down the road a bit.

She is so funny right now with pictures! She loves having her pictures taken and insists on posing... Who taught her how to pose like this I don't know! Seriously, none of these poses were provoked!

Her funny sassy little personality come across loud and clear in these pics! Oh, and she seems SOOO OLD like these should be her senior pics not her preschool pics!
This one is one of my favorites (again, her own choice for the pose)! I'm going to sepia or black and white it as well!
I'm a bit biased but I'm pretty sure I have the two cutest kids in the world!

Jared had a little baseball outfit when he was 2/3ish so I thought it would be cute to take JT to a baseball field to take a few photos in it! He loved running around the bases and being goofy!

Party at the PARK!!!

Well Ji'Robert turned two in July and we hadn't had a party yet because of my surgery! Our little friend Nora had her third birthday in July as well and because of a new baby sister didn't have a party either so we decided to have one together at the park!

We had a fun time with cupcakes and snacks, an egg hunt, face painting, and JT's new lawn mower!

Real Men Wear Pink.... and other fun stuff!

Poor Ji'Robert.... It sprinkled for two minutes at the park and he walked around with his hands on his heads saying "raining raining" with an unhappy look on his face. So we borrowed a sweatshirt from our little friend Nora so that we could continue to play! Bright pink, ruffles and all! My pretty little boy!

And everyone sat on the state that they were born in... well except our geography was a little off and Ty is on Mississippi instead of Alabama! Ooops!

The weather was gorgeous today! It was supposed to rain but didn't (minus the sprinkle at the park) and there was a nice breeze. Evenings don't get any lovelier than this one!

Things have been a bit crazy around here so we are once again behind on posting! We've spent a lot of time at the nearby parks and most evenings outside! JT would spend all day every day outside if we let him!

I took the kids to a nearby school and we had the whole playground to ourselves! We brought our scooters and bikes and rode around on the basketball court!

And of course climbing is a favorite thing to do at the parks much to mama's dismay!
We had a fun family day at a nearby little zoo. We brought a picnic lunch, saw the animals, and ran off some energy! This is one of my favorite pics because even when he isn't smiling, he is pretty with those eyes!

But a smile is beautiful too!

JT met a new friend... Mr Bear. Mr Bear was bored and so came over and walked back and forth with JT! He loved it and ran back and forth with the Bear.
Our town has an annual peace lantern ceremony to honor the victims of Hiroshima and this years earthquake in Japan as well. I took Addy over there and had never been to it myself and we already had a blast!

She was SOOO excited to let it go on the water with its candle but then was sad that she couldn't take it home with her!
Addy has been going to her camp school for the summer and one of our other little friends is in her class. Keely's mom just had a little baby so we thought it would be nice for Keely to have a little alone time. I picked the girls up from school, we ate dinner and made a project before bringing her home....

They were super excited to make their fairy houses! Due to wet paint they couldn't get as extravagant as we planned but Addy will be adding to hers later!
Well that's all for now! I haven't been as good about taking pics lately and am SOOOO behind on digital scrapbooking! I need to figure out a plan this fall to take a weekend and get a little more caught up!
