She's an artist!

We have a very brave daycare provider who did fingerpainting today with a group of toddlers! Addy is quite talented! Here is a picture of her first million dollar masterpiece! Its already on display at a very well known place, the fridge! With my family being very creative and artistic, it is nice to know that Addy enjoys arts and crafts! We have lots of fun to look forward to as she gets older!

Cute thing today....Addy was playing with her princess truck and was pushing it around saying "weee". Then I noticed what she did... She put her baby on the seat and was giving the baby a ride! How cute! This is the closest I could get to a picture!

Hippity Hop

We brought Miss AJ to the mall today to see the Easter Bunny! First we stopped and played at the play area to burn off some extra energy. She is SO busy now, running, jumping, climbing, getting into things, and never holds still!

Typically we get our picture taken and buy the cheapest package and then they let you take 2 pictures with your own camera... well now they have "visits" where you don't have to buy pictures but can just take your own! YAY! So we just took two with our own camera and saved the 15-20 dollars!

She was very excited before sitting on the bunny's lap and then seemed a little shocked after sitting there.

Child Genius!

Addy had her 15 month appointment today (she turned 15 months on Saturday). She is a little peanut at 31 inches and 21.9 pounds so is around the 35% for both of those. Her head circumference is at the 65%.

She is excelling in every area beyond that of an 18th month old (motor, fine motor, speech)! What a smart little cookie, must take after me!

So amused....

Tutu-riffic!

Sophias mom made her a tutu and we just HAD to have one! And so we went to the store last night and let Miss AJ pick out her own colors. She chose pink and yellow. So here it is! It is really pastel though so I will have to go get a brighter color to spice it up. In the pics it looks white but it does actually have some color. She sure likes it though and must have a ballerina inside her because she started spinning!

Weekend Fun

What a fun busy weekend Miss Addy J had! Lots of fun little friends and playdates. Today we went to the mall play area this morning to run off some energy and then relaxed by browsing through the book store. Later our little friend Sophia came over with her mom and played. It was a long overdue playdate and the girls were SO cute together. In a whole room full of toys they spent the whole time playing with crackers and a toy that plays little princess songs. What a couple of sweethearts!

5 Toddlers, No meltdowns!

We had a big fun playdate today with some of our friends through our adoption agency. We are trying to get together every few months. There were five kiddos ranging from 5 months to 2 1/2 years. They all played so nicely together and amazingly there weren't any big meltdowns or anything! Addy was even good at sharing her toys! We had a great time and are looking forward to the next one. Yep, Addy is the only girl but loves her little boyfriends!

Where did those come from???

Addy has been doing pretty well but has been waking up a little more at night again and throwing a few more tantrums during the day. Last night I was looking at her and it looked like she had food stuck to the roof of her mouth so I took a closer look.... No food, two molars! How did we miss that! Her teeth are coming in like crazy! Guess that explains her crankiness, I would be cranky too if I kept having silly teeth poke through my nice smooth gums! Sorry no pics of the new teeth, too far back!

The newest baby....

Miss Addy J has quite the baby doll collection and loves each and every one of them! Today she was in her crib pointing to the animal hammock above her bed which is filled with my dolls from when I was little and stuffed animals from when I was sick. I told her she could pick one out and she started yelling "baby baby baby". And so she was gifted Joanna Eberta (the baby in blue). These are just some of her "like me" babies. Someday I will gather ALL of her babies and take a picture but for now, here are a few!

Bantu Knots

We are branching out our hair styles. Last night I went online and learned how to do Bantu Knots, also known as Zulu Knots. You can leave them in for a while and then also when you take them out, leave the hair free and it will be in big spirals.

Mystery Solved!!!

For the past couple months, I have been having issues with finding tops and bottoms to our tupperware/gladware. We seem to have no matching pieces. They all live in a bottom cupboard in our kitchen. Since Addy became mobile, she loves to empty out the cupboard and since it is all safe, non-breakable plastic, I haven't minded. I always walk around the room and pick up after she is done playing but for some reason things are disappearing. Initially I thought maybe she had a stash somewhere, or that they were under the stove, or in a different cupboard, but today the mystery was solved.... I was sitting at the table eating a snack and she was playing in the cupboard with the tupperware and then it happend... TWICE! She would pick up a piece (this time it happend to be a tall pasta tube thing) and walked over to our brightly colored swingy topped garbage can and DROPPED IT IN THE TRASH!!! No wonder I cannot find them, they have all been thrown away! I am guessing she is sneaky and only does it one or two pieces at a time so that we don't really notice that they are missing or that they are in the can. So if anyone would like to contribute to Addys habit, you know our address.

SWIM fishy fishy fishy

What a sweet little fishy I have! Addy LOVES her swim class! She smiles, babbles, and kicks her little legs the whole time. I have a feeling she is going to be a good swimmer! She even tired herself out so much that she came home, we rinsed her off, and she fell asleep! Here are a couple pics from tonight!
