Dance Picture Day

Easter

I am SO behind on pictures! So I'm posting a string of posts in an effort to catch up...

Easter seems like SO long ago!

We of course went and saw the Easter Bunny. Addy was very quick to tell me that it wasn't the REAL Easter Bunny that it was just a person in a costume. (insert panic attack here, I'm so not ready for this!) Then told me that the REAL Easter Bunny doesn't come until Easter.

JT was excited to see the Easter Bunny. Seems that the trip to Florida broke his fear of dressed up people!

We also dyed eggs this year (of course!)!
And did an AWESOME egg hunt.... A helicopter came and dropped eggs onto the field before the kids ran out! The kids had a blast. Now every time we see a helicopter, Ty tells me that its going to get eggs!

We stopped at Meenas work to get spray for our nasty tent worms... The tulips were already blooming! And Meena knows how to shop with two kiddos!

The Easter Bunny was very generous this year. We stayed at Meenas house and he definitely found us there!
My little Addy-wabbit

Fishing with the new fishing set!
Even had an Easter egg hunt at Meenas with healthy things in each egg that mixed together to form snack mix! Yay for a mainly candy free Easter!
Went to the park near Meenas and caught Papa and Tyty walking down the road. Ty just LovES PAPA!! He even got to sit in his Hot Rod Truck which Ty talks about all the time!

After returning home we had to get all dressed up. Addy in her strawberry shortcake dress and JT as a fireman with his fire dog!
Easter was nice, relaxing, and wonderfully spent with family. We sure are blessed.

Hoop it up!

I broke down and took the kids to Chuck-E-Cheese with a few other friends tonight and Mr JT is going to be a star! He played the basketball game numerous times and made most of his baskets!

Play Date!

One of our dear friends (Alden & Logan) recently moved a little ways away and was hoping to connect with others in their new area. Lucky for them I have another good friend (Adia & Thad) who lives there so we had a big playdate to connect them!

Triple A: Adia, Addy, and Alden are about the same age, Thad is a bit older and JT and Logan are about the same age.

It was a blast (minus the loosing of little Logan who literally in about 30 seconds followed a lady with dogs out of the park and down the sidewalk, talk about panic inducing fear, luckily the lady with the dogs brought him back but with Meghan, Kris, and I searching for him, it was terrifying).

The kids had a good time! They made their silly faces, ran around, and even sat for a couple pics! They all got along really well and Adia and Alden will be both starting Kindergarten in the fall in the same school!
For the record all six kids sat and I actually got a decent picture!
Holding hands!
Waiting patiently...
Adia and Addy played with dress up after the park...
And then the boys joined in!
The day before, Addy found her purple wig which was still in the box, took it out, asked me to braid it and to take a picture of her in her purple hair!

She's beautiful with any color hair!

Leaving behind my baby....

There comes a moment when you realize that you have lost your baby. When you realize that something has changed in an instant and your baby is all grown up. Its an amazing wonderful happy sad moment. I got a bunch of our recent pictures printed and have been carrying the one below around in my work binder (I'm a good mom who always has a pic of the kids with!) and as I was looking at it something struck me. Ji'Robert looks OLD! All grown up. He's almost 3 and has pretty much skipped the terrible twos which is making him seem very grown up at the moment!
And so I say good bye to the baby stage and the toddler stage and need to realize now that I have two amazing little preschoolers.

Where did my little chubby bub go!

Hair, Hare, and Hope!

Today was hair day for Miss A. She had her cutie hair turban.Pinned bantu knots with twists on the sides. I love bantu knots but they never last very long now that her hair is longer. So this time I tried using mini bobby pins (which I've been looking for for months and finally found some) so we will see how it holds up!
What a beautiful little head!

Then we took a trip to the Mall to visit the Easter Bunny! Not sure why JT isn't smiling in the pics because he was SUPER excited to see the Bunny!
Even got some cool masks out of the deal!
Do you see what I did below??? Another fun find from Pintrest... A fancy filing system to keep your counter clean (and by fancy I mean file folders and a dish drying rack)! If you've been to our house, you've probably noticed our counter is a disaster! Papers, mail, bills, handouts, flyers, etc. pile up quite rapidly. I've tried numerous ways to try to keep it under control with a big FAIL after a couple days. Seriously I'm not sure what's wrong with me but I cannot keep it clean! Having a nice big kitchen with a lot of counter space apparently is a bad thing, just more room to pile! And so I'm hoping this is the answer (positive thinking right!). But this time I actually have a plan (my last attempt was a rubbermaid to throw everything in to contain the pile...big FAIL)... so my files are labeled: incoming (aka new mail and crap that doesn't have a home yet), pay/do, keep, Jared (for his crap), gift cards/coupons, memories (for those things that I'm not ready to throw, things to put in scrapbooks etc), and file (for stuff that needs to be filed in the real files in the basement (aka but rubbermaid full of papers to keep). I've got a spot for pens, I added a notebook for our menu planning stuff, and a couple other things that I need to get done.
Our counter is cleaner than its ever been! The pile left next to it is my TO DO pile and hopefully will be gone in a day or two.
So anyone wanna take bets on how long it will last? I'm hopeful that this will help or at least get us through surgery etc. and it looks cute! And the bonus, if it doesn't work out, then we have a new dish drying rack!

Handsome Little Man...

I wanted to sent JT's birthmom a picture pack for Easter and realized that in the past month I haven't taken enough of my little guy! So we headed to the park this morning to take a few! As you may remember, he is a very active busy little boy so getting a picture is hard to get!
LOVE! I have one of them last year on this same toy so I'll have to find where that is!

I wanted to take some in a cute fancy outfit so got out the shirt and vest that came with the pants that I needed for the wedding they were in. And how do you keep a 4 year old big sister busy so that you can take pics of baby brother.... give her a camera too! (And yes he is only fancy from the waist up!)

So handsome.

Love my sissy!

Sweet little boy...

Ji'Robert and I took a lovely trip to the park one night....
After having LASAGNA for dinner which both the kids LoveD!

We even got his hair all coiled up!

This is what Jared came home to one day.... Ty wearing his pants, AJ wearing his shirts!
