Turning 3!

Little Miss AJ is turning 3! (sappy post to come on Tuesday)...

She has been super excited about her birthday party since Halloween. She decided that she wanted a Wizard of Oz birthday party (one of her favorite movies, mine too) and she wanted her little friends to dress up.

And so we geared up for our party! And then... 18 inches of snow fell and the roads were barely getting plowed. Poor Addy was super sad that her friends weren't going to come but a couple braved the weather and came over that night.

Dorothy on the yellow brick road...The not-so-cowardly lion! The wicked witch of the east (you know the one that gets squished by the house)

Our super fun cupcakes complements of Meena!
Squished witches...
Melted witches and yellow brick road ruby slippers...
Matching shoes!
The eye roll after momma almost melted the shoes with the candles...
A poppy (Brooke), dorothy, & a witch (Mallory)
Silly face after the party!
So we rescheduled the party for the next day.... unfortunatly the plows were still not cooperating so it got rescheduled a third and final time! Many of her friends were able to make it! She got to play, and eat, and show them her fun cupcakes!
This was pretty much her the whole time!
Most of the crew who came... a few were a little picture shy!
So even after rescheduling, some toddler heartbreak with the snow, a dead furnace (oh ya, the furnace was dead when I got home from work the day of the party;), the party was a ton of fun and sure will be a memorable one!

My goodness, she looks absolutely adorable as Dorothy! You are so incredibly creative - love the concept, and I'm glad you were able to get most of the folks together after getting hammered with that disgusting snow!

Miss you all!
