Twinsies!

We put Mr TyTy in our one of three gender neutral outfits. Look how cute our twinsies are! Both pics taken around 8 weeks and although Tylers cheeks in this picture are a little squished and look bigger, Addy actually was chubbier! I've gotten a few random comments about how much Addy and Tyler look like eachother (from people who know they are not biological siblings). I guess they look a little alike if you look at the picture above and below this. We do have a few pics of Addy that look quite similar to him at this age but at their current ages I do not think they look anything alike! And then comes the comment, "They look so much alike, noone will even know they aren't real siblings".... Some times said just as a comment, sometimes said more like it was a good thing they at least look like eachother... To which I reply, "they are real siblings, they are both ours." And it is as simple as that. They are both ours, they are real siblings. I know for some people it is hard to understand that it is OK for your children to not look like you and to not look like eachother and that we are happy with that. We set out to create our family through adoption without hesistation or worry that they wouldn't look like us. They will always know that they are beautiful no matter what they look like. Which is another reason it is nice to have a big group of amazing friends with families who look just like ours!
So what do you think, do they look like eachother?
This weekend we went to the "minizoo" with our adoption friends and finally got a picture of Nell and Tyler, the two newest members of our group... NOTE, Nell is about 3-4 weeks OLDER than Tyler!
Delany is Tylers future GIRL friend. I told her she couldn't make out with him again until she was 20 and then couldn't do it in front of their parents! It was love at first sight!
Addy and Miles got licked by the deer!
Thank you Sophia for the lift! Everyone elses stroller always looks better than your own so the whole trip we played musical strollers and switched off kiddos at almost every stop!
Sometimes the easiest picture to get are those when they are all distracted. Note my child is the one climbing the fence!
The otters were a huge hit!

Love all the pics - such a fun day! Love how you're handling all the crazy sibling comments you're getting - people are so dense. Sometimes they just don't realize how inappropriate the comments are, I know, but still - what you say is just exactly it. They are YOURS and they ARE REAL SIBLINGS! And, they are adorable.

Fun pics! I don't think Ty and Addy look that much alike except they are both super duper cute! ;) My least favorite question/comment is "Do you have your own kids, too?" HUH? Yes, people are indeed dense. But all we can do is keep educating people about the beauty of adoption! You are doing great!!
